And there's a word that means the people everywhere, and more in Italy than elsewhere, a word which sounds the multitudes a definition of their rights , a science policy in whole compendium, a program of free institutions. The people have faith in it, because that word has seen a pledge to improve and influence, because the sound of the word speaks of him, because he vaguely recalls that if he ever power and prosperity, had written that word on flag, which led him on.
I ever could rob him of the consciousness of its forces, the feeling of his rights, everything
not love that word, perhaps it can only remove it from the mire of inertia which lies in its efforts to lift the action.
That word is: REPUBLIC!
Republic, or public affairs: government of the country held by the nation itself: social governance: government ruled by laws that are truly an expression of general will.
Republic: namely that government in which sovereignty is recognized principle of the nation, with a predominance of any act, center and source of all powers, units of the state, where all interests are represented according to their numerical strength, in which the privilege is denied by law the only rule of penalties and bonuses are in action, in which there is a class, an individual who lacks the necessary, in which taxes, tributes, gl'inceppamenti to the arts, industry and commerce are minimal as possible, because the costs, requirements and the number of rulers and government are reduced to the greatest possible degree of economy, in which the tendency of institutions is primarily to the best of the poorest and most numerous class, where the principle of association is more developed in a way which is indefinite at hatching progress with the overall expansion of education and the steady destruction of any part, of every kind of stillness, in which finally the whole society, strong, peaceful, happy, peaceful and solemnly agreed, on earth as it is a temple erected to virtue, freedom, progressive civilization, laws that govern the moral world,
